Love rises from the ashes

The scene of All Saints during the fire.
Firemen responded from a 40 mile radius.
We are pleased to offer this post from Tom Smull, who is working to restore All Saints Catholic Church after tragedy. From the flames of hatred, a plume of love has risen:

When to forgive. (And when not to.)

Rabbi Barry Cytron engaged about
165 participants at the interfaith lecture
We were thrilled to host about 165 guests at DMARC's inugural David Bear Memorial Interfaith Lecture on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Rabbi Barry Cytron led a room full of thoughtful people in a dynamic exploration of the topic of forgivness.

The complexities of human emotion in the wake of tremendous injustice were brought to discussion with the assistance of a PBS film by Helen Whitney, "Forgiveness: A Time to Love and a Time to Hate."

Celebrate and renew

We are pleased to open our new blog, The Interfaith Express, with a reflection from Deb K. Christian, President of the Religion Communicators Council, an interfaith association of religious communicators since 1929, who recently awarded DMARC's newsletter, The Voice, with a DeRose - Hinkhouse Award of Excellence. From Deb K. Christian:

As the beauty of Spring unfolds around me in the North Texas area where I live, I began to think of what this time of year means in some of the different faith traditions of RCC members.
